After arriving in Sydney my parents, brothers and sisters were directed to the Scheyville Migrant Hostel where we stayed for 3 months and we then moved to Villawood Hostel where we stayed until middle of 1960. My parents bought land at Blacktown, built a house and I lived there until I married an Aussie and moved out in 1972.
My interests:
Skiing, astronomy, walking, bridge,
My connection with the Netherlands:
Limited to occassional visits from relatives and occasional e-mails from them.

Sorry Rina. I'm not sure that I saw you come in here. Welcome / welkom (again?).
I also started up a Ning site for a Maroubra Bay High School Reunion, possibly in October next year and that is getting such good response, that I've been concentrating on it.
Thanks so much for joining. I DO hope that this one grows as well.
Hoping to create a network independent of any formal organisations that Dutch-Australians join or do not wish to join. AlsUbegrijptwatikbedoel/ifyouunderstandwhatImean.
